TC33D Difugulties

Okay folks, I've had my boomer three weeks now. Following is a list of difugulties that I have encountered and have been fixed by dealer. (1) Used joy stick control on Allied FEL(installed a new one). (2) Frozen tilt steering wheel(lubed). (3) Gear selector hard to shift(adjusted). (4) Rust spots on FEL(repainted). (5) Seat belt parts missing(Installed new seat belt). (6) Throttle wouldn't stay in place(tightened friction wheel). (7) Wheels to close together(might cause tipover) (Switched wheels to opposite sides). I suppose all new tractors and machinery have bugs that need working out..Still lovin this little bugger though. A real workhorse.

The Wheels are adjustable, you just needed to tell the dealer how you wanted them set so I wouldn't consider that a problem with the tractor. New Holland does a good job of taking care of any problems with these machines and they are doing a good job of trying to eliminate these types of problems on their machines. I thing the problem is poor quality control at their plants as most of the tractors have similar minor problems. How bad were the rust spots on the FEL, was it just from when they shipped the loader or was it a poor paint job to begin with?

Hi Robert,

I'm not sure where the problem originated. It looked as if the person painting it, just skipped some spots. There was no peeling, or anything like that. It is an Allied FEL.

The rust or paint problems with new tractors is not uncommon from what I've seen. Some of this equipment sets outside for extended periods of time & is probably NOT shipped with the same care as automobiles or electronics for example.
My TC33D that I bought new about 2 years ago had been out on the dealer's lot through the winter. I pointed out some rust spots on the loader & axle and when the tractor was delivered to me, ALL such spots were painted & the entire unit was waxed./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
I've been happy with my tractor & dealer, but over the past 2 years, here's some problems that I've had:
-Safety switch wire at shifter came loose twice (due to me working in brush alot) > dealer resecured in a more protective manner.
- Hourmeter stopped working > dealer replaced dash.
-dash does fog up in humid conditions > not resolved yet - I will address with dealer again.
- minor leak at transmission > dealer broke tractor in half & replaced seals, etc
- leak at transmissions is still there > dealer is scheduling in to work on again /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif
- the rear spot light went bad > dealer replaced it with a new light with better switch
- bungie cord that holds FEL lines (hitech engineering) came off.
I've had a few other items that I caused /w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif repaired that I won't go into right now. Again, overall, I'm pleased with the tractor & dealer.

I can not comment on the allied loader because we do not sell them. I can comment on the tractor. Most of those problems are a result of poor dealer predelivery and inspection.

I agree Spencer...I had them out here again today, putting another new bolt on the throttle friction wheel.

My dash also fogged up. Dealer replace dash no problems so far and it has been raining, snowing, warm, dry, windy and calm. Typical Michigan winter/spring. Do like the zero hours again, wish I could do that with my Super-Duty.
