Last week I purchased, from a dealer in WI, a TC33D with 1172 hours. Upon putting into FWD it makes a screeching sound when stepping on the HST forward pedal. Has any one else experienced this problem?
Thanks for the reply: I did grease that very well. When I go out after lunch I will give it another shot. The screeching sound is coming from the rear of the engine. This afternoon I will change the transmission / hydraulic oil and filters. It is 1343 hours past do. So much for buying a used tractor from a dealer that told me it was in excellent operating condition. Also the differential gear for the front wheel drive is totally dry. I will also fill that as well.
I am 66 yrs old, retired, two children, 5 grandchildren, and a loving wife of 44 years, and no animals with a 160 acre tree farm of red pine with the first stands planted in 1959 as my brother Billy and I rode the planter.
Just joined the site. Who would have thought a driveshaft shield could make that kind of racket!
Thank you very much for the tip, its as quiet as could be now! I thought I was in for a big repair.
