I started the tractor yesterday. When I advanced the throttle, nothing happened, rpms stayed at idle. Is there a loose linkage beneath the dashboard? Seems some significant disassembly will be needed to access the throttle lever to check for a broken or loose link?
Has anyone dealt with this before? And, If so, any hints on making the repair go smoothly (I know it isn't likely to be "easy". Especially now that temps are in the low teens in northern Illinois.)
Thanks for any advice!

Have had to tighten throttle lever twice on my TC 34DA. Removed bolts on right side cover and pulled cover out to get wrench on nut. You may can possibly remove dash cluster and go in from there. Lever controls a cable that goes to injector pump. Had to replace the rubber thingy that attaches the cable to the pump once. Cable was moving just not advancing the throttle plate.

Working in the cold sucks. Doesn't look like there is any adjustment on the cable. There is a rivet #14 with a cotter pin #7 that connects the throttle cable to the handle. Part #6 is a snap ring on the cable. Removing the lower panel is fairly easy - 4 bolts, 2 across the front that holds the 2 lower panels together, and 2 on the firewall. From there you can access the throttle handle and cable.

When you move the throttle handle is the injector pump linkage moving? You should be able to see the end of the cable where it meets the injector pump linkage.

Yep, cable broke right where it is crimped in the endpiece below the throttle lever. Not too bad, once I get the part.
Thank you!
