New Holland TC33D 4wd w/FEL
I have a NH TC33D 4wd with hydrostatic transmission. I had a power steering leak so it was out of commission for a couple of months until I fixed it. Now that it's running it won't move the F/R pedal is very soft and it makes no effort to move.

Any chance you lost enough fluid to make a difference? All the other hydraulics working OK? If so maybe a HST filter issue?

G'day Mate and welcome to TBN from Downunder.

The first thing that comes to mind is 'is the tractor actually in High or Low (or Medium, if you have that too)?' I know that, on my hydro tractor, selecting from Neutral to either High or low can result in 'not quite' being in the position. If you're not in High/Medium/low, the tractor won't move in either FWD/REV and the foot-pedal will feel mushy.

Enjoy the site.

My thoughts too. I bumped the range lever with my foot just enough for it not to move and mine is a gear tractor. I'm not sure if the power steering on his has a separate fluid tank. My 32 hp Ford 1920 has a separate tank. Hopefully it's just the lever.

The power steering tank is separate from the rest of the system and mounted on the right side of the engine. Check your tranny fluid level with the dipstick behind the seat.

From there remove the side panels below the steering wheel to reveal the tranny linkages from the treadle to the top of the tranny. There is one linkage that enters the top of the transmission on the right side that may have broke or became disconnected. I could not find a parts photo of that linkage on Messicks parts site, but believe it connects to the left side of part #23 of the HSTcontrols/ cruise control page. I've read of that breaking on TBN and it is a pain to replace. You need to check out that area anyway for loose/broken connections and it may be as simple as a loose connection or broken roll pin. Best I got at this time. Good Luck!!!!

Send me a PM if you need a service manual. Wish I could be of more assistance.

Power steering reservoir is separate from main hydraulics to my understanding. Lift arms and FEL work fine. Have a filter... Going to change it... Thanks for the input, I will check behind the panel this weekend. Thank you for the welcome. I hope i can find something this weekend I miss my mini mule. What hyd. fluid do y'all use from tractor supply? this is what I picked up:

Traveller Premium Universal Tractor Trans/Hydraulic Fluid
Product price $34.99
SKU #80639199

Thanks for all the help!

Thanks Guys! The linkage behind the side cover that connects the pedal had come loose. It's fixed!
