The owners manual for my TC33DA recommends checking and adjusting the fuel injectors and valve clearance at 600 hours. Are these involved procedures? About how many hours of labor should a dealer charge me to perform these maintenance services?

I would not recommend injector adjustment unless it is running rough, smoking or badly. I would look at adjusting the valves at about 2000 hours. Most owners don’t adjust valves ever, but it does make a difference on performance and longevity.

The valve adjustment is not difficult, but a dealer would probably charge you in the neighborhood of $200-250. to do it.

When mine went over 600 hours about a year ago, I looked around these forums to see what folks were saying, and I basically got the message TractorTech shared. I personally decided that there was no urgency. Maybe some day I'll get interested and do the valves.
