So I have a TC33DA around 1300 hours on it. When using a bush hog or tiller I have no problems but when I started using a finish mower and a heavy patch of grass was met the pto would jump out and start to grind. My PTO clutch it appears doesn't have any pressure left on it. So I Adjusted it to see if any play would help. IT did for about a week. So I bypassed the pto wire so I can crank it temporarily while the pto is engaged so I do not have to grind them into place. But the problem still exist the pto seams to pop out of gear while mowing heavier grass with my finish mower. I do not know if I need to replace the gears, replace the pto clutch, all of the above. IT doesn't seem to want to fully engage at the start any longer. Oh and this is just for the rear pto not the mid. The mid seems to run flawlessly.
I do not know if I need to break the tractor in half to fix the PTO gears in the rear or is there a way to check the PTO gears without breaking it down. Or just bite the bullet and break it down and replace gears and clutch.
Any help for a newbie would be appreciated. I have never tried working on a hydrostatic drive tractor so I am a little leery of doing it
