Oil & Fuel TC33DA Winter oil and knocking noise

Hi Every one, Great Forum , I have TC33DA ,had it almost 2 3/4 years . First winter I owned it Hyd oil started leaking out hole in the center of tractor
dealer put me off another year , they took it in and split the tractor and replaced a seal . But it was spring time and warm no leak til next winter, now it's leaking worst than ever when cold out . Also after I got the tractor back from repair loud rapping noise when warm disappears when clutch depressed .Dealer again putting me off Warranty almost over . Has anyone had similar problems ? Also how do I contact someone of a higher power than the dealer I am getting sick of there excuses . Thanks for any help . Tractor has 610 Hrs amd other than those problem it has preformed excellent .

well... I'm not familiar with the inner working o fthe HSt.. but assume they have an input shaft bearing.. perhaps there is a problem with it.. assumably they had replaced the input shaft seal, if it had been leaking at the weep hole in the bell housing. Though there can be many reasons for an input shaft seal leak.. a common 'seal leak' problem is when a bearring is going out and tolerance has opened up.

Not being an HST owner.. I'm of less help here.. hopefully a more modern tractor owner will stop in soon.

Is the knocking more of a thump-thump -- muffled sound or a metallic ping.. or more of a whine / squeal?

Thanks for reply Soundguy . Yes I am pretty sure it was seal on imput shaft that they replaced , but I think they were unsure that's where the oil was coming from, once they open it up its hard to tell where oil is coming from ,now they think maybe it's a plug on the pump .It only leaks alot when below 30degs just a few drips otherwise . The noise is a hollow rap rap sound like someone is tapping the side with a hammer I am able to hear it mostly at Idle but I think it is there at higher rpms just harder to hear .Also it changes some what when I let the clutch out ,let it out quickly and its louder ,let it out softly and not so loud ,seem that way anyway .no noise when clutch is in . Depending on your manual there should be a contact number on the inside cover or rear cover of the manual that you can call to get some help. This will generally put your dealer on the right path because they will recieve a call from New Holland wanting to get there side of the story as well as yours and then you can also have it escalated to a district service manager have the agent you are talking to request that you be contacted by the district service manager. You can also try this number 1-888-290-7377 and they should be able to conect you with the correct people from this number also. If you do not get the answers you want keep calling until you do I hate to say it but sometimes its the squeeky wheel that gets the most attention. I would also get this documented at this level since you are getting to the end of your warranty then you have some recourse to fall back on since you contacted them. They should be able to give you a case number to refer too once you have spoken with the rep.

I'm sure glad I haven't had the problem yet. But, I did have a leak in the rear of the tractor by the PTO shaft. A rubber plug came out of it. Replaced it and put silicon over the plug. No leaks yet.
