Tc35 Hydraulics surging at idle

My TC 35 hydraulics has just started surging when the tractor is idling. Tonight, the bucket was rising and dropping a 1/2 inch or so with this surge. And the attachment was doing the same.

Yesterday I hooked onto my finish mower and left it raised and shut the tractor off, and within 5 minutes it had dropped to the ground.

What is going on with my tractor?

What's the fluid level.. any leaks.. air noises?

It sounds like you had a relief valve lift and not completely reseat, but it could be a leaking 3PH lift cylinder too. If you lower an implement all the way to the ground does the FEL continue to surge? It really sounds like the 3PH is correcting its position and as it surges, you are just seeing it in your FEL as a secondary movement. Are you still in warranty? I think it's something you'd want the dealer to look at pretty soon. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I just got back from the dealer and the service manager thought it was the seal on the lift piston. While there, they looked it up and I have just over a month of warrenty left, so I am going to have them fix it, and a few other minor pesky issues.

I don't know why I am saying this but my dad was really great on hydraulics. He use to be a Ford tractor mechanic. I use to go out on calls with him all the time. Even after he quit being a mechanic the farmers in the area would call him to fix their stuff. But when it came to hydraulics he was really good. As a past time him and me would fix the hydraulic jacks at night and then he was always fixing cylinders and pumps and what not. He was good. Wished I had half the information he has. Them old Ford tractors I swear he could take apart and put back together blind folded.
