Price Check TC35 used price?

Hi all,

I have the opportunity to buy a TC35 w/loader for $13k from an acquaintance. It has around 1000 hrs. on it. He bought it around 2 yrs ago used and he is moving and wants to downsize. Also, he may be willing to do a trade with me for my 1985 IH 234 4x4 w/loader. I figure mine is worth around 5k or so (that is what I've been quoted for trade in against a new tractor). So if 13k sounds like a good number, maybe he will take my IH and 8k for his.

I don't know what year it is yet, but based on the average retail prices at dealers for used iron, it looks like a fair price. What do y'all think?

I just bought a 2003 tc 40 hydro with 1300 hrs for about the same money I believe the price for the 35 would be about right if it has the hydro trans.

The TC35 probably sold for around $17,500 when it was new. You didn't say what year or what specific model (shuttle or hydro trans). If it is a TC35 shuttle and is over 5 years old, I'd try to work a harder bargain. I think $12k to $12.5k would be my top price depending on the type of transmission.

Also, that's a big move upward for you in size. There will be lots of places you won't be able to fit that tractor as you did with your IH. Any implements you have will be overpowered by the TC35 and hauling it will surely require an upgrade in trailer and towing vehicle. Think about the whole package of things that go along with this tractor. If you need and want it, that's great, but you might be overwhelmed and find yourself wishing for your old IH back.
