None right now-several over the years
I'm looking at a 2005 TC35D. 1200hrs. It was stored outdoors and the paint is faded, some rust all over but nothing to severe. PTO guard bent, rear outlet lever works hard (not smooth thru its travel - never used). Hydro-4speed, SuperSteer, 17LA, Sims Cab w/heat (needs new rubber door seals). This tractor is dirty inside and out but will clean up with some work and the dealer knows that. He is asking 15K. These things are all over the price map on the web. I've seen them as low as 12K and as high as 21K. Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

First off, if it is a TC35D and not a TC35DA, it cannot be a 2005 model. Look at the Unit Number code on the ID plate under the left operator platform behind the step. That code tells exactly the year/month/day/shift the tractor was built.

That said, the price is pretty good for a tractor that just needs cleaning up and a little attention. If you are satisfied with everything working (including the PTO) then this sure looks like a winner to me.

The remote hydraulic lever is probably stiff because the remotes often take on water and they need the return spring cleaned. I've included a picture of what mine looked like. Take the two screws out of the round cover and remove it to see if yours is also gummed up. The dealer should know this, but if not it's easy for you to do and you might use the stiff lever as a bargaining point. I cleaned mine up and it works as good as new. Pack this area with grease and it will help prevent problems after it is cleaned and working again.

TC35 listed near me...what is a "D" or a "DA"...

"TC35" with loader and tiller...1600 hrs...$15,500...

Seems like it may not be priced as well as the OP's TC35D...w/loader/backhoe??

When did NH drop the TC category?

Thanks...TMR

Edit...sorry...OP does not mention attachments...except for cab...

Thanks Jim,

I haven't been able to look at the ID plate you mentioned but the dealer says the serial # starts with C5 which he says the 5 stands for the year it was made. I was thinking the last year for the D before the change in styling was 04 but Ive been wrong before. I figured rough action of the lever was just from not being used and water also. I have looked around in these forums and now I'm having second thoughts on the SuperSteer feature. I have a 15 year old son that I hope will start a neighborhood business plowing snow and other odd jobs for cash using a tractor. I'm sure I could get used to the quirks I've heard about but I'm having nightmares of holes punched in garage doors due to the kids lack of experience. Thanks again.

I looked at the tractor again Sunday. The ID Plate starts with G5 so it must be one of the last "old style" 35's built? Anyhow as i was looking at the front end a little closer i noticed that the battery box was shot and one of the power steering cylinders is leaking. Still haven't heard it run but all things considered I'm probably going to pass on this one-unless the dealer wants to come down to 11/12K. Because it is in such rough shape I get the feeling it was not serviced much. Thanks again Jim and TMR.
