How many guys on here have the TC40/45 cab tractors? For you guys that have them how do you like the cab so far? What chores do you do with them? The reason I am asking is that I am contemplating trading the FWA 1920 w/loader in on a FWA TC40/45 w/loader and cab. The reason I am looking at this tractor is that I will be using it for a spray tractor and I need something small and not too expensive. Ideally I would just buy a TNF but I don't feel like spending $40k+ for a spray tractor and the TC can replace the 1920 and take over its role as the second loader/chore tractor. Is the SSS tranny in the TC40/45 the same as the one in the 1920? I do not need or really want a hydro for this tractor so we won't even worry about the gear/hydro debate.I have thought of just buying the FWA TC40/45 cab tractor without a loader and keeping the 1920 (you can never have too many tractors) but the 1920 only gets around 100 some odd hours a year so it doesn't make much sense to keep it and a new TC. One more question, does anyone own a 2wd TC40/45? If I did decide to keep the 1920 then I wouldn't need FWA on this tractor as it will only be used during dry weather either spraying, spreading fertilizer or raking.
This was broke up into paragraphs but for some reason when I post a message on here it gets lumped together into one big paragraph. I am sorry if it is hard to read.

I have a lil bigger tractor and a aftermarket Laurin cab on it. It is heated, without air conditioning. Had some whiper problems (mechanical) but other than that it treats me good. It is very nice to drive out of a heated attched garage and blow some snow with a sweater and sandals on, outside havin -10C to -20C, rolling up your sleeves and have a litlle break enjoying a cup of tea! ;-) Had a look at the TC45 with the factory cab on, and that looks a little nicer than mine.

In the summer here a cab without AC is just a green house on wheels. My current 1920 has a Curtis cab with soft sides and I keep the doors and rear window off year round so it is basically just a canopy and windshield which helps a lot. For spraying I need a cab that is fairly tight with heat and A/C. If NH came out with a TC55 cab tractor I would go that route.

Hi Robert, We took delivery of our TC45DA/Cab last Friday. Only have about 7 hours on it so far, but absolutely love the tractor and cab to date. The 7 hours have entailed some loader work moving dirt and sand piles and leveling ground. Another good chunk has been used for roto-tilling and smoothing out a treacherous portion of our back yard area to make it more livable/walkable. I'm so used to moving sand/dirt with our non-cabbed TC40D and being open to the elements and having all of the "stuff" fly back into your face/eyes in the wind...I'm still finding myself ducking my head down when I see the sand come flying back ...only to have it hit the windshield and not me! The ability to control the temperature inside the cab and to crank the tunes while working is a pleasure that I was not accustomed to...but I'm learning fast! :D We will also be using it to blow snow during the winter and after coming in with icicles hanging off my eyebrows more than once last year, I'm looking forward to the upcoming winter and being inside the cab. If you have cab specific questions or would like to see more pictures, please let me know and I'll do my best to comply with your request.

I have seen the cabs in person as my dealer has one on the lot. I am just curious to hear from the actual owners of them. I know it has only been out for a few months now so I doubt there will be too many issues with them but I thought I would ask.

Robert, I may be wrong, but I don't believe the Class III Boomers come with 2wd anymore. I think they made a few in the beginning and then quit making them. As far as I know, all TCs are now FWA tractors.

I was only going by what the NH web site listed as available. But you know as well as I do that NH is slow to update their website.

What happend then to the TC48DA? Did they discontinue it or did they put 4x4 in it like mine?

I checked out the website Robert, and you are correct. They do list 2wd as available on all Class IIIs and IVs. I guess I was thinking about all the other Boomers. Even though it says they are available, I have not seen one on my dealers lot in many years and probably that is where I got the impression they were not available. I'm sure not many of them are sold.

DieselMonk: Are you saying the TC48DA is not available with FWA? It appears you can get them in both 2wd and FWA on the NH website. I believe everyone I have ever seen was FWA.

I never seen a TC48 to start with and also I never seen any 2wd boomers either @ my dealer. Not sure if they are just useless or what the deal is. I did check on the NH site and sure you can select between 2wd an 4wd. Just never seen any around here.
