Tc40. Backhoe removal? How to lift 3 pt arms

@Jeeper78 Our TC40D is setup a little different but if I have this correct; your 3-PT does not work when the backhoe is connected? If this is the case then you are correct you need to make some connections after removing the backhoe.

Ok so if I have this correct you will need to dismount the backhoe from the machine first... (i.e. subframe)
Then shutdown the TC & remove the hydraulic fitting from the tank port at the rear of the machine

Then you will need to disconnect the backhoe pressure hose from the Power Beyond Hose:

You will then need to look under the machine for the hydraulic manifold & connect the Power Beyond hose back to the hydraulic manifold in order for the 3-PT hitch to function...

Disconnected:

Connected:

Your backhoe should now be disconnected & your 3-PT hitch should be working... Hope this helps.

On my TC33D with a 757C backhoe the dealer installed a male fitting into a block mounted to the side of the tractor, see picture below. In the picture the male fitting currently has a hose connected to it with a female fitting that I have circled. This is the setup used when the backhoe is not connected.

Along the side of the subframe a hose is run with a male fitting, see picture below. In the picture I have circled the male fitting.

To install the backhoe you positioned the tractor over the subframe.

Turn the tractor off and disconnect the hose which was in the first picture from the male fitting on the block.

Then connect this hose to the hose with the male fitting which is along the subframe.

Once you have disconnected the hose from the block the 3-point arms no longer function. By connecting the 2 hoses together it allows fluid to flow to the backhoe controls.
