This might be a goofy question, but has anyone changed a fixed column to a tilt column. I have an 01 TC40 with a fixed column, and want to put a tilt column on. From the parts list, it looks like some of the same parts, but I would just need the tilt assy. Any thoughts???

What's your budget? $500? About the only thing I see that is interchangable is the steering wheel and the four bolts that hold the column on the power steering motor. Everthing else is different. Remember, the tilt wheel also extends, so that makes it quite different. The biggest thing is your non-tilt steering column has a mounting point on each side for your gearshift and shuttle lever support brackets. I don't think the tilt column has that, plus the column could not tilt with the brackets in place. I don't see how this could ever work at any price. Sorry. . .:(

Thanks Jinman, I didn't even think about the shift levers, etc. See, you learn something new everyday.
