TC40A arrived

My new TC40 was delivered last friday in the rain. I could not stand it and got wet over my lunch period. Got part of 3 days in past 7 with out rain and was able get 10 hrs on it. Knew it would be a fantastic tool and it is. I have been shopping and reading tractor info for a year now and some of the best info came from all of you. THANKS. I looked at Mahindra, Deere, CaseIH, and Kubota, 2wd, AWD. HST, Shuttle shift and manual gear. This turned out to be my best fit; TC40A, 1 remote, deluxe 3 pt., grill guard, R4s, 16la fel. Attachments; 6ft rotary, 7ft disk, 6ft finish, PHD, and 750 lb spreader. Thanks again to all the TBNrs. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif <font color="black"> </font> Thats my Granddaughter at the controls, if I can get the image size small enough.

What made you choose the NH over others especially the cool look'in CASE derivative ?

Be sure to let us know how well it pulls that 7' disc. That seems large to me, but I don't have any experience with a disc, so I really don't know.

I shopped 7 dealerships in about a 30 mile radius, it was down to the Case IH and the New Holland in price and features. The New Holland dealer won out on price, reputation, and is only 15 miles away.
As for pulling the 7 ft disk it only acted like it was pulling a little hard when I made a shallow curve with disk down. I was in med. range 2nd or 3rd gear. That is without added weight to the disk, in non-worked soil with short grass, so it wasn't digging very deep. I may have to shift to low range when disking deeper.
So far I am extremely happy with it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
