TC40D/45D no longer come with tail lights?

I noticed on the local dealers lot, that the TC40D and TC45Ds didn't have tail lights, just reflector tape. Is this something new, or was it always that way?

I have tail lights/flasher lights on the outside/bottom of my ROPs, but I can never remember seeing any on the back of the fenders, ever. I'd think that on a tractor, having wires running inside a rear fender would be "courting danger" because of mud and debris picked up by the rear tire cleats. They would probably have to run a conduit for the wiring or it would constantly be ripped out. ...just my opinion.

JimI, On my TC29 the flashers are yellow, and like you say mounted on the ROPs. I also have taillights mounted in the rear of the fender. I guess the bigger TCs don't have this. The switch is 3 way, Off/taillights only/head and taillights

How do the wires run to the fender mounted taillights, Ernie? Are they inside the fender or ???. ...and speaking of tailights... This weekend I smacked a limb with my right rear taillight and the limb won. The light separated from the base where it was mounted on two knurled standoffs. I think I can fix the light with a little superglue. ...no hope of fixing my brain so I use it to prevent such little incidents. /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif/w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif

Yea, they are inside the fender. there is a black plastic liner thing. the wires come out of that and run about 8 inches to the taillight. I've wondered why they felt the need to put on taillights. When your on the road, it seems to me flashers are all you need. So far mine are still working/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif
