Has anyone re-routed or diverted the exhaust on their Boomer? Where it comes out on the left side of the engine, it tends to make my left foot VERY hot and I end up riding with it in the middle. Even with the foot moved, my left leg and the left side of my body still get a healthy dose of hot exhaust.

I've been thinking about adding some pipe and routing it somewhere else but I'm not sure where to route it so that it won't be a problem, unless I maybe route it behind the operator platform. If anyone else has done something like this, I'd love to see some pics. I spend a lot of time on the tractor mowing so with the engine at PTO RPM and it puts off a LOT of heat, especially on the 95 - 100 degree days.

STx I was hoping to see some responses on this. I have the same model tractor that is used to mow with a mid mount 84" new holland finish mower along with other year round activity. I dislike the soot and heat generated on the mower deck,...along with the noise and exhaust if I'm greasing or checking anything while the tractor is warming up.

My tractor has a FEL and I had considered routing a simple "stack" with a heat shield. I have limited room underneath the tractor with the FEL brackets and the mid mount mower brackets. If I get inspired I'll post some pics. Also interested to see if you make any progress.

I have an FEL on mine as well. I considered a stack but I don't know that it would improve things that much, it's something else to get caught in the brush (I use mine a lot in overgrown fields and for trailblazing) and still puts the exhaust in front of you only now it's at the level of your head so you get to smell it more...

I don't have a mid-mount mower on it though. I think I'm going to haul it over to the exhaust shop and see if they can extend the exhaust pipe so that it terminates under the operator platform. I think this would solve my main complaints.

If I do something about it, I'll post some pics.
