So I have an oil leak in the final drive on my tc40da. I have it all apart except for separating the top casting from the bottom one, where there is a roller bearing in between. There is no snap ring or anything else I can see keeping it together but I can't push the top casting out of the roller bearing. Any helpful thoughts?

Thanks, Ed

The swivel housing is doweled to the steering arm. If you have the 4 bolts removed that attach the arm to the housing, separate the two parts with a chisel. Put a floor jack an inch or so below the swivel housing so it doesn’t drop to the floor all at once.

OK, Got it!! Just needed a bigger hammer. Like a return to my youth ....If all else fails, get a bigger hammer.

Thanks for the quick replies and advice. Isn't this a great forum?
