tc40da grease zerts and filters

Ok, every time I grease my 2004 tractor, I grab my manual to make sure I don't miss any zerts, but I have yet to find several in the book , like number 9- stabilizer rear ball joint, 12- rear drive shaft and 13- front drive shaft. I think I have found 6 on the front end and pivot point and 3 back on the pedal bar. Do I have to remove something to find these or is it because the manual is for several models that mine might not have them? Also , does anyone other than NH make the air and fuel filters? Thanks again

Is your tractor SuperSteer? That diagram in your manual is for a SuperSteer tractor. That same page has instructions for the "Clutch Housing." If you don't have SuperSteer, you won't have that sensitrac clutch housing either.

Thanks Jim,
No supersteer, but now a new problem0, drained the front axle (?) got a little over 3 1/2 qts of oil, put around 3 qts back in to start out, drained the left reduction gear case, drain out about a quart, then drained the right side and run in to grab some lunch, come back out and find about 4 qts in the drain pan. Went on to Messicks site to look at the prints and find that maybe oil seal (number 12) is what let go? the odd thing is when I pulled the reduction gear fill pug so it would vent and let it drain, it did not come out the fill hole at all. Don, I think that's the way the reduction gears work. The oil from the axle case will drain down into the drop boxes and intermix. If the wheel seal doesn't leak, I would not worry about it. That way your reduction gears have a way of venting back into the axle.

Jim, thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I Think I can say I speak for a lot of the New Holland Readers that we want "You" to write the New Holland Manuals. I wish the manual would say to drain all 3 at the same time before starting to refill any of the reservoirs, and then which one do you fill first second, third and so on. Thanks again Don

Your comments are very kind, Don. I'm just thrilled to hear that you are using your manual and doing regular maintenance to your tractor. You are doing the kinds of jobs that are very little fun to do. However, every time you do something, you just make it that much easier for you the next time it rolls around.
