What quick coupler (male end) do I need to be able to plug into the rear remotes? The manual says a 1/2" quick coupler. Seems like there are a few different ones. I will be placing an order thru Surplus Center so a part number there would point me in the right direction.

When I bought my TC40DA (last fall) the dealer told me I had 8200 series Pioneer couplings. But I understand there are a lot of different styles out there. Maybe others with more knowledge can offer better help.

I think mine were the 1/2" Std ISO Pioneer but like Keg said, you could have different remotes than mine. If it were me I wouldn't order them, I'd go to Tractor Supply or somewhere with one in my hand and match it up or you may be shipping wrong parts back and forth forever trying to get what you need. Let us know if you get educated on this subject.

Rear remotes use ISO standard 1/2" couplers. The FEL does not. Any decent Ag equipment retailer can supply standard ISO tips for not much more than shipping from an internet supplier.

Joe, I agree with RickB that if you are just buying a couple of adapters, an AG supplier or TSC will have all the adapters you need at less than buying plus shipping from an online source. That said, if you are buying lots of connectors and fittings, Surplus Center can save you some money.

I'm going to give you a couple of links to the adapters you will need. You can use this info for buying from Surplus Center or any local retailer. I'm guessing that you will not be using 1/2" hose from your remotes to your implement. Most hoses are 3/8" or 1/4" in CUT applications. I'm going to show you a swivel adapter for 3/8" to 1/2" that you will need in addition to the 1/2" quick-coupler if you are using 3/8" hoses.

quick-coupler male

3/8" to 1/2" swivel

Notice that this is a 3/8" female to a 1/2" male adapter. I'm assuming that your hose will have male fittings on each end.

If you are going the internet route to order fittings and QD's, don't forget Discount Hydraulic Hose. They have downloadable catalogs with cross references and the guy you talk to when calling is very knowledgeable and often posts here. The website even has a page with QD's and cross references.

Thanks for all the input. I will be running 1/4" hoses from the rear to front for a homemade logging grapple. Going to put a quick coupler at the loader and then one futher up. Learning a lot about the hydraulic end of things. Everyone on this site is so very helpful.

Thanks again,

Joe

Just to follow up what Jinman and RickB said. My NH 7610s with the deluxe remote packs worked with the 1/2" ISO standard QD's on my JD 1517 mower just fine. ( TSC has them )
