Today (Sunday) I was down in the home town for a Bday party and decided to swing by my New Holland dealer to see what was to be seen. He had a couple TC18's, like mine, a TC33...And Holy Crap..the mother of all TC's, the TC45! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

That thing looks like it could eat mine for an afternoon snack! Couldn't believe how big it was and still be in the TC class. Was confused about the TC35 as to why there was a TC33 and a TC35, now I know, the TC35 is physically larger than the TC33, it was across the lot from the TC45 but looked closer to its size.

Still believe that I made the right choice for my tractor demands with the TC18 and would do it again in a nanosecond! /w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif

Also notice a Supersteer, didn't know that part of the front end actually turns along with the tires and axle, wife's comment was "it looks broken"! That's how far it turns, so much it looks broken. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Just some feedback on these awesome Blue machines!

I know the feeling on that Supersteer, I was at a NH dealer making sure my orange choice was still best for me and almost walked into another tractor as I looked at one of those, parked with the whole front axle crabbed over, and then the wheels turned on top of that!

I know where NH got the idea.../w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif look at a typical toy car or truck, a lot of them steer by turnig the front "axle" housing since they have trouble making all the tie rods in 1/24 scale! I'd love to watch one of those things driving around. Things just keep getting more complicated. Some of the small excavators, in addition to turning completely around, also either have a swingable hoe (usually about 130 degrees) which pivots at the "typical" backhoe pivot, or the dipper itself pivots. Add an extendahoe feature and a hydralic thumb and you really have some abilities. To not end up with 3 4 position joy sticks, you'd have to go with some foot pedals or electric buttons on the "NORMAL" two joy sticks.

Right toe, left foot! They are awesome. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif It took me a moment to see the big change. I'm use to sitting low over the tranny and having running boards at the bottom of the cases. Two wheel drive and less ground clearance. Look at the spec's and they are not out of proportion with the older cousins. Just sitting higher with better engines, better hydraulics, better trannys, better operator comforts, etc. I had Jamie on a TC33 Saturday and she tryed the new seat. /w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif The seat and steering wheel makes this a good fit and very comfortable to any shape and size operator. What impresses me is the higher stance and visibility.
The two TC40's are still in transit. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif Darn. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

Hawgee, I know you've been looking at the larger TC 40 and 45's as have I. Funny thing is, where Jim thinks they look big, I think of them as being a little smaller then the comparable HP's they replace. They do however look very nice. Rat...

Rat,

It's all perspective! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

My TC18 was mainly purchased to replace my Allis Chalmers 16 hp gas garden tractor with a 48" deck and 47" dozer blade. The old Allis lasted 12 years for the original owner, 9 years for me, and it is now I'm sure working great for its third owner!

I wanted something that could do more work and I got it! Can't imagine doing my main job of mowing 2 1/2 - 3 acres with a TC25 or comparable size other brand. My TC18 does a great job, is not too big, nice weight for the lawn, has moved tons of fill sand and top soil via blade, rake, rear scoop!

I know that the TC45 is not the biggest thing out there, but when you own a TC18, it's a monster! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Jim, as I've mentioned before, the TC45D with the R4 tires is a really great looking, compact tractor that looks like it can do some damage. The loader is different looking, I've asked James how he thinks the loader will hold up and felt it had plenty of strength. His is the TC 45D with SuperSteer so it requires the 17LA loader to accomodate the extra room the pivoting axle takes up. Without SuperSteer, the TC45D uses the 16LA loader which as I recall has a few more pounds of lift ability. I do like the appearance of this tractor, just wish I could try it out in some dirt, that would be fun. Rat...

perspective. I was going to rib jim on how dinky the mighty tc18 looked. saw it in person today at the NH lot. I had to laugh thinking about all his posts on it. guess compared to the allis gas mower it is a mighty leap up. problem with perspective is all the "massive boomers" were lined up next to it. sure love the looks of those boomers. RAD looking hood design.

<font color=black>Blu21, didn't you know that Kubota tractors have evolved so much that they are able to mate, the BX is a baby B, or at least it looks like my neighbors B2710 was pregnant and kicked out a BX./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif
