Price Check TC45D - Need Help on Pricing

I bought a TC45DA with FEL, quick attach bucket, one rear remote, BH, grill gaurd, sun shade, filled rears, and grapple for $31K. The tractor and FEL was $23K on the bill. That's way too much $$

Thanks for the replies. Much appreciated.

The tractor I'm looking at is a hydro. The blade is a front blade and is not a component of the FEL. My elevation for snow plowing ranges from 3,300 to approximately 4,000 feet.

Thanks again. I'll be looking at what other dealers have to offer soon.

I was quoted a price of $30,400 for a TC45DA tractor and loader with Cab. Using Cash the price drops to $28,600 with the $1800. rebate.

Local dealer here in NC has new TC55DA's 4wd for $17,500.

NH is offering $3000 discount on this model thru Sept.2007.
He told me it is being replaced with a T2410.
The graphics are the only difference I see.
I was going to post this as a question if a deal like this would ever come around again?
He had the TC55DA beside a TC45 and the TC55DA looks a lot heaver.
In fact it is a lot heaver, basically a 4000lb tractor with about 3500 lift capicity at rear and also larger capicity hyd pumps that TC45.
How ever the cubic inches of engines are the same.
TC55 has a turbo.
So does the lack of cubic inches hurt engine performance, since competors
engins in same HP range are usally larger diplacement engines.
What does everyone think of the TC55DA.
Regular price is $20,500, which even at that sounds like a lot of bang for the buck.
It is classified by NM as a Utilty tractor, not a Compact Utilty Tractor.
But it appears not to be to much larger than TC45.
Thanks

a TC55 is still a compact, not a utility tractor (compare the maint schedule to a real utility, you'll see), you'll also still see Cat 1 rear end, etc. it's a compact. A big compact, but still a compact.
The TC55 is quite a bit bigger than the TC45.
I like Turbo's, they work really well at altitude (we're at 5000 feet), you lose very little HP to altitude with a turbo. Just gotta remember to not shut it off hot, let it idle down for a while to let the turbo cool.

I was quoted $24.6k on a TC45DA (hydro), open, with FEL and no front blade back this past winter. As others have said, the price quoted is in outer space.

Also, as Brian noted, the dealer doesn't get much if any risk out of the financing, which is why it doesn't change the price much. If you can get a low rate, take the financing even if you don't need to, and keep the money invested somewhere else.

Personally I would get a turbo, gear tractor for those uses. The JD 4x20 series (or 3x20 series if that's big enough), the new Kubota L40's with a turbo, or consider a utility (JD 5x03 series 2008 models, Kioti DK55-65 I think have turbos also) depending on how much work it will be doing.

I wanted to thank everyone again for the comments to my questions in this thread. I could not get my New Holland dealer to budge on price for the TC45D. I have instead purchased a Kubota MX5000DT. The Kubota doesn't have some of the bells and whistles of the New Holland, but it has slightly more horsepower and significantly better price relative to the New Holland price that I was quoted. For less than the New Holland quoted price of $31,000 I was able to get the Kubota tractor, FEL, a 6-way 7-foot front blade (for snowplowing), and a Land Pride RB3596 rear blade.

I think you did the right thing. I can't imagine what it would have been like to get gouged by that NH dealer and have nothing to look forward to but being gouged again everytime you needed to buy something from him. It sounds like you got a really nice Kubota. Congratulations!:)
