I have a TC45D under 300 hours that has been used about 150 hours with its mid PTO and a mid 84" deck. There is a screeching noise in the PTO area. I first noticed the problem using the Rear PTO post hole digger augering holes for my vineyard this spring. The gearbox area between the rear and mid PTO would make a screeching noise when lateral force was applied to the PTO shaft.
I have not had the time to trailer the tractor back to the dealer but was bushhogging today to clear a path to install new fence and the same noise started when the rear mower pto was disengaged.
Sounds like a bad bearing in the area between the mid and rear PTO area. Anyone have a similar problem or ideas.
