Does any know where you can find the service manual online or flow charts for the hydraulic system? have issues with 3pt and trying to troubleshoot it. it has 2400 lbs of pressure on rear remotes, but will not lift much on 3pt at idle

That info does not exist for free on the web. I thought your symptoms were cured with an oil and filter change? What RPM is the tractor running at set at low idle? 2400 psi is at or above spec for remote pressure; at what ERPM did you measure that pressure?

Thanks RickB, checked it at idle 900 rpms- cold 60 deg F, believe the problem is caused by the rear remote check valve not seating properly. the 3pt will not lift at idle all the time, by working the rear remote fixes the issue. it appears i have to go into the HPL control valve and clean the check valve, but I may install a open valve to the rear remote and pump out a little fluid on both lines and see if this flushes out anything first

Steve, take the little round "can" off the back of your remote valve. Inside, you will probably find a rusted spring and plunger. I had to clean one that was sticking and it caused the 3PH to be sluggish when it was out of position due to the action of the open center hydraulics. I doubt that your HPL valve is bad.

When you originally posted about this problem, you didn't mention that you had a FEL or remote hydraulics. If I had known that, I would have suggested that the remote could be sticking. Here's a picture of what mine looked like.

Thanks Jinman, I have another question,I put a deadhead pressure gauge on the remotes. and activated the valve. pressure went up to 2300 psi and slowly dropped to 400psi in 5 seconds. i am guessing that is not normal?

Steve, I think a bleedoff to 400 psi in 5 seconds is completely normal. You closed the open-center system with the remote valve and routed deadheaded fluid to your gage. The system pressure relief lifted and bypassed. You released the lever and the fluid (and a tiny amount of air) was trapped in the gage and remote plumbing. This fluid cannot compress, but the tiny air pocket in your gage can. With a perfect hydraulic lock, you would see the pressure remain constant forever, but our hydraulics are not perfect. If there was no air, any tiny leak would relieve pressure and the gage would instantaneously go to zero. However, the tiny bit of air and the miniscule amount of ballooning of the hydraulic tubing made your residual pressure bleed off over 5 seconds. I think that says your system is working properly.

At what rpm was your tractor's engine? Did you have it above 1500 rpm? If so, you are running about 200 psi lower than spec on your pressure. You should have measured 2500. I measured 2500 on my tractor at the remotes with the engine above 1500 rpm.

Thanks Jinman, feel better now, lol. Pressure was checked at 900 rpm. will check at 1500 and let you know. Also is it normal for the 3pt to raise fast until it gets close to the set position and then slow the last 2 inches before settling at the set position? hope you uinderstand what I mean

Thanks Steve

I've never noticed, but that seems reasonable and exactly how I'd prefer the system to work That way, small adjustments of the HPL lever produce small/slow/controlled movements. I think the position control starts to null out the HPL lever position and the implement slows as it approaches the selected position. Makes sense. . . .
