New Holland TC45DA
After months of research, I chose the TC45DA with 16LA loader for use at my construction company. After 400 hours of use in many different situations, we are very pleased with our purchase.

The 45hp pairs perfectly with the 16LA loader. When using it for dirt work, it has ample power to dig, lift & move dirt (as opposed to some models we tested which struggled in these situations.) With the loader I highly recommend getting quick attach. The salesman talked me into it & I am glad he did.

The only negative features I can speak of would be the annoying transmission whine & nobs & plastic pieces falling off. Minor things on a well built tractor.

The only down time we have had resulted from not regularly changing the fuel filter. We change ours out every 50 hours now, because we do a lot bush-hogging.

Overall the tractor is very comfortable to operate & performs great in extreme situations. If you are researching tractors in this HP range, look no further. The TC45DA is a beast that is up to any task!

*Check out this pic of the NH moving trees!

No gots...on a TC45DA.;) That's only on tractors that have the fuel tank above the engine. On a TC35/40/45, the fuel tank is under the ROPS and there is nothing but a fuel filler cap. If you spill fuel, it just splashes on the fender and left side 3PH.

Dave: Glad to hear your tractor is performing so well. I'd surely agree with everything you said. My TC45D has and continues to be a reliable workhorse with only minor issues.

What kind of attachment is it that is carrying the tree. I've seen the grapple type things that go sideways like that but can't see the pic well enough to see if that is one of them.

Looks like a boom pole with a strap/lifting sling to me

Nice... seems like they could have benefitted from an overflow cup as much as the others.

When i say his post about parts deteroriating. i got to wondering.

So now.. are those lower tanks even metal anymore? or plastic? I've seen some nh units with the low slung tanks that are plastic ( YUCKY).. I wouldn't care for that at all... at least a metal tank you can fix.. etc..

I see that NH made a big change in design once it left the boxy sheet metal series then. my 1997 ex-NH 1920 even had a hood mounted fuel tank.. etc...

The 55's have the fuel filler above the engine. I thought that was why they have the rubber cup, so spills are caught rather than overflowing on a hot engine.
Nice picture! At first I thought it was a tractor sitting under a tree. That would be a sight to see if you moved it very far.

Who are you sneaking up on. When I was a sniper we used to put twigs in our helmets, but looks like you take the prize - who would ever see you sneaking up on them behind that tree.:D

That is a quick attach tree boom. We moved about 40 trees that day with a mini ex & the new holland. The boom extends out another 3' which makes popping trees out of the ground that much easier. It also keeps the base away from the grill of the tractor.

The lever knobs came off. The hi/lo switch broke off & the light switcher broke as well. All minor stuff that was replaced for less than $20.
