I am getting mixed messages regarding the compatiblity of adding a BH90x to my TC45. From what I read on TBN it is a good match. When I called a local dealer, I was told that the BH90 maybe too much for the TC45, that the BH80 would be a better fit. Also if I went for the BH90, I would require a separate hydraulic pump for my PTO.

Also I have one set of back remotes. Would I need another set, especially if I want to add the hydraulic thumb?

Thoughts?????

Thanks

STEVE

hyd to the hoe = 1. PTO pump 2. remote tied off to keep it open 3. power beyond port -- I opted for #3. I have the 80 on my TC45 .... If you're wanting to go with the 90 ... can't help ya - I don't think I ever compared specs. I limited my choice to either the woods 80 or the NH and went with the woods because I liked the mount better. My .02 ...... If you want the 90 over the 80 for whatever reason - go with a PTO pump and run the thumb off the remote you have.

The 90 needs a good solid 10 GPM of flow. At what RPM does your machine produce 10GPM. The PTO pump produces 16 GPM at 540 PTO RPM.
The thumb is all set up to run from the same system BH hydraulics. No extra hoses req.

I use a 90X on the Kubota L4300. I have the PTO driven pump with independent reservoir as the 4300's hyd. flow is on the low side. I would probably go with the pump anyway as it keeps the hoe hydraulics seperated from tractor hydraulics. The PTO pump handles both hoe and hyd. thumb. All my digging so far has been at 1700-1900 engine RPM and things move plenty fast enough. 540 PTO comes at 2465 engine RPM so the rig is pretty much loafing.

The 4300's got plenty of power but is light so the hoe drags it around some. The rears are filled to add weight. I find it's best to ram the toothbar equipped FEL edge into the ground if I want to stay in one place.

I think your TC45 is heavier, so it should work. However, I've found it's usually best to listen to dealer recommendations. I asked several times whether the 90X was too much for my tractor. The dealer said "No". Also said, if you really want to dig, don't fool around, get the 90X.

The 90X is a digger; the 80X, from what I've heard, not so much.
