tc45da
I have a tc45da and here is my questions.

1- I have trouble getting my pto to engage and disengage. This is to the point of the handle binding.

2- same problem as above but with the 4wd lever

3- I have a 16la loader and other day got stuck with front end loader in creek. Tractor was angle downward in the creek. My tractor did not have enough power to use the front end loader to puch myself out or enough power to wheels to back out of creek.

Any info on this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Dion

Problem 1: You may need to clean and lubricate the linkage going to your PTO valve. There is a shaft through the pivot point under the lever. In addition, sometimes the engagement valve binds up and needs to be cleaned. This is a touchy process when you do this, but the instructions to get to the valve are attached.

Problem 2: Try to lift the front wheels off the ground using your FEL when putting the tractor into and out of 4WD. That keeps the driveline from being bound up and allows easy shifting. I do it on my tractor all the time.

Problem 3: Sometimes the geometry of where you have the bucket will overpower the hydraulics. If you can lift your tractor with the loader bucket as I suggested above, then it is probably normal. Otherwise, your dealer can run a pressure test to see if you have the full 2500 psi pressure in the hydraulic system. Also, if you have loss of traction when backing up, stepping on the differential lock will double the traction.

Hey jinman, just giving you the heads up on everything. Linkages were binding was the cause of the 4wd engagement problem. Cleaned and greased and is working fine. Pto valve a little grease on seals and it freed up. Thanks for you help.

Bigde2001, the more you use your tractor, the less chance that things bind up. That's a good excuse for lots of seat time.;) Glad you got things freed up.
