Just got this tractor last week, and it is my first diesel. I'm used to dealing with a mid-60s Massey gas, so this is a completely different animal. It's a 2006 model, 900 hours, ran great for 5 hours. Cranked it at least a dozen times with no issues. Started it on Sunday without realizing idle was all the way down. Moved the lever up, but idle did not increase. Moved the lever all the way up and it was still at minimum idle. Unfortunately, I can't remember if I shut the tractor down or it died, but I had assumed it was an issue with the throttle cable. It wasn't. Throttle was fine, but now the tractor will turn over but not start. All safety devices on the tractor were circumvented at some point I could stand on the ground next to it and start it, so I don't think that's it. Been chasing the problem based on searches here, but is there anything the original idle issue may suggest? Fuses check out, fuel solenoid has full range, fuel at all injectors with no bubbles (before and after a filter change), and I've been using my battery charger/starter to ensure voltage. It acts like a gasoline engine without spark. Tomorrow I plan to replace fuel (no idea how long this has been in it) and double check all lines/fittings, but would appreciate any other suggestions.
