Does anyone know what the ground speeds are for the 12 gears of the EHSS transmission on the TC55DA, both forward and reverse? I haven't found this info on the New Holland website.

I'm trying to figure out if the reverse gearing is low enough for potential use with a 3PH snow blower running in really deep wet snow. This is usually the domain of a hydro transmission or a gear transmission with a creeper option, but neither are available on the TC55DA.

I do not know the answer (exact speeds) but your tranny has more gears than mine (8x8 on my TN70A) then it is plenty slow enough for a SB in reverse.
My TN70A in 1 st gear crawls. At idle (700 rpm)it moves and it just crawls. If I was dumb enough, I could easily mount and dismount from the tractor while in 1st gear at 700 rpm it is moving so slowly.

The problem with this observation is that you are not running your engine at the 2400 RPM or so required to get the full 540 RPM on the PTO. The snow blower is going to need that full rated PTO speed to run efficiently, especially when buried in deep wet snow. If I end up buying a TC55DA, I just want to make sure I have low enough gearing to avoid slipping the clutch in this situation.

You are right! I will crank up the machine tonight (assuming rain is not still falling) and see how much 2300 rpm increases ground speed. I will guess 3x faster. Still very slow. But I see what you are saying about HST speed control. I would guess, if need slower speed due to large amount of snow, to take a 50% bite with blower instead of 100%.

TC55DA WITH R4 TIRES

FORWARD MPH (1ST - 12TH): 1.15, 1.55, 2.03, 2.61, 2.90, 3.93, 5.14, 6.60, 8.17, 11.06, 14.48, 18.58

REVERSE MPH (1ST - 12TH): 1.17, 1.58, 2.07, 2.66, 2.94, 3.98, 5.21, 6.69, 8.28, 11.21, 14.67, 18.83

this is straight from my manual but it doesn't say at what RPM these speeds are attained. I would guess the "rated" RPMs which is 2700 RPMs

Thanks for the info!

I was hoping to see a couple speeds below 1 MPH. The 1.17 MPH 1st gear reverse speed translates to about 1.72 FPS.

That seems very slow, but, as an example, the creeper option on a Kubota GL5030 GST brings the speed down to .11 MPH speed or .16 FPS. I probably would have been happy with a .3 MPH (.44 FPS) or .5 MPH (.73 FPS) speed.

Yea, the TC48 has the same speeds. This is where Kioti tractors shine, with their 12/12 transmissions. They offer as standard equipment a creeper set of gears, with 2-3 of those speeds below 1mph. That's what you need for some serious snowblowing. Hydros are great also, as long as the filter doesn't blow a seal on you during the cold weather. The TN series offers many a transmission selection, and the 16/16 would be sweet. I'm sure that they have several gears below 1mph also with that NH 16/16 trans.

3 below 1 mph.
