TC55DA SEAT & SEAT COVER

Hello All,

Looking for a little help in options of where to buy a new seat for a TC55DA as well as a seat cover. I realize I can get one through the dealer (for probably $400) but I'm kind of checking for possible aftermarket options if possible. Along with this, I'm looking for a seat cover to protect the new seat. These will be gifts for my father for Christmas this year. He just needs the seat itself, not the framing & brackets underneath unless that is part of the standard assembly in getting a new one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

this is where I got mine from and it is great. Not sure if they have covers, but I store mine in a barn so I didn't need one.

For anything like that, I would refer first to Messicks.com. They will have the OEM part, usually discounted substantially from what you'd pay at your dealer, unless you are on exceptional terms with said dealer. I would then google the part number and see if anyone out there has it for less. Finally, unless you are posolutely sure you want OEM, I'd compare aftermarket ones, esp. those with suspension. If you do much bouncing around it might be best to go with one of them, that can be had for around what you'd pay the dealer for OEM plain seat. Places like Amazon and TSC might have something also.

I'll give messicks a call, I've purchased from them before and had good luck. I'd be interested in getting him a suspension seat if possible. One certainly does get jostled around at times with some of the work that's done!

This is the same seat as the ones they sell at Tractor Supply. Sometimes TSC is a bit cheaper too (on sale). Good seat.

A suspension seat is a great idea. Comfort=safety.

That suspension seat looks nice! Is there a piston that's in a suspension seat? I had imagined they would be a spring system, but on this particular one it appears there's a small cylinder/piston at the back of the seat? Just looking to verify the photos. Also checking to see what options/features to look for in suspension seats? I don't know what options to look for, or what's better quality than others.
