Husband just bought a used Woods Dixie Cutter MD160. Has some issues with parts are rusted as it had not been used for 5 years, sat in a building under a tarp but we are working on that, trying to get blades off. But thats another thread issue.
Our problem is that when we hooked it up and raised it for transport to get it home, the front of it hit on the tires, bent the front shield, but that is an easy enough fix. It seems the lift arms are not long enough, can you get a extension for them, such as longer track rods? We have looked online through the parts catalog on the Ford New Holland web site but it doesnt seem that they come on any size but the one. Is there a difference between category I and category II as far as the clearance?:confused2:
The warranty just came off in April and as it always goes we are now having little issues, such as the steering wheel locked in the up position and will no longer come down so we are trying to get parts for the steering column, either the gas strut or a spring, hopefully nothing too pricey.
Any help on these two items would be appreciated.:confused3:
