Can anyone tell me how to get the dash or cowling off so I can replace the throttle cable? It's a non cab model. I just bought this tractor with 500hrs on it. I guess the hand throttle cable has rust in it from sitting outside as it won't return to idle. The foot throttle works fine.

There should be only four screws holding the dash unit in place. Once the cluster is out, you should be able to see inside the cowl assembly. The various panels are fastened to each other with nuts and bolts.

So all this crap will come off without removing the steering wheel? My tractor is parked in a building at my farm. Like I said. I just bought the thing and started checking it out this weekend. Got the oil changed and took care of a few other minor issues. Ordered a new cable and hope to get that fixed this coming weekend. Thanks for your help.

I did the job this weekend. Wasn't a lot of fun. Took me about 3 hrs. The cluster came right out(4 Screws). Two small bolts at the top where the dash piece is bolted to the tractor. Peel the rubber floor mat back to expose 2 larger bolts at the bottom of the side panels. After that I could lift the whole assembly up till the steering wheel stopped it. This gave me enough room to get my hands in there and remove the circlip holding the cable.
The whole thing would come apart by unplugging all the electricals and removing a few more bolts that are impossible to reach till you go through the above steps first.
I could probably replace one now in under an hour. Dread the day I have to go for the foot throttle cable. The whole thing has to come apart to access it.
I've got some people I know in Winchester. You know any of Berrymans?

I know George at I64. I see him fairly frequently when I'm in and out buying parts.

I don't think I know him. He and Roger may be related somehow. Not many people have that last name.
