I recently changed the oil seal in the crankshaft due to a leak. While the tractor was split, the clutch was changed out as well. The old clutch worked perfectly though.

Now I am having big worries as the clutch seems to not be engaged. Every time I am pushing the pedal down, there's noise from the clutch. The same noise appears when I have put the tractor in gear whatever clutch position. There's also a struggle to change gear, as it's seems that the spin of the axels are not in sync. The tractor does not stop when i put the clutch pedal down again. The only time there's no sound, is when it's in neutral with the pedal free.

I have tried to adjust the pedal shaft, but I cannot get the clutch to stop making this noise in any position of the shaft. I have also swapped PTO to have a 1 3/8" shaft, would this cause this problems?

I worry for having to split the tractor again for what's likely to be an adjustment at the fingers, am I wrong here?

Hi Pvfos

I think if you've tried to adjust the pedal shaft with no success your probably looking at splitting it again. It could be the fingers need to be reset. Do you have a manual?

From the manual of a 35 - so a newer model than yours.
oil or grease on driven plate facings
Weak thrust or bellville springs
binding of clutch pedal mechanism
improper pedal adjustment
