Anyone know about the Tebben Rotary cutter? I have a kubota bx23 and was told 42" would be best. This one cuts 40". I found a used one online for $300. Don't know what they cost new.
Hi and welcome to TBN. Tebben Mfg is a company near where I live. I don't know allot about them and have not owned a machine by them....but I believe they have a good reputation in this area and manufacture several types of machines....including quite a few rotary cutter sizes.
Most good ag manufactures can build a good rotary cutter. They just have a deck, PTO shaft, a gear box and often a "stump jumper" or dish underneath to protect the gearbox and blades a bit. I would think you could find new 4 foot rotary cutters in the $650 price range or so. So, if the one your looking at is in good shape....I'd say $300 is a fair price. Maybe you can offer a little less (like $50 bux ?....it's what I'd do). Hope this helps. Good luck.
