Due to the steel shortages and price increases some of the aftermarket and OEM suppliers have been selling tedder tines made with c70 spring steel or less. A tedder tine should be made with c85 spring steel. The tell tail sign are tines that are dip painted and not powder coated with paint. If you tines are breaking more often likely it is because of inferior steel in the tines. For the record CCM sells tines only constructed of c85 spring steel and powder coated in the OEM colors.
