Jinma 354, purchased 2007
Hi. My tractor is a Jinma 354. I want to add remotes, but I'm having a devil of a time figuring out how to add a hydraulic return.

There is one existing hydraulic return line, from the power steering. It's a hard pipe with a banjo fitting. My initial thought is I could just replace the bolt with a double length banjo bolt and put a second banjo fitting there, but there's a problem: there is about 1/4" of clearance between the banjo and the control lever for the 3-point hitch, so no room to add anything there.

Would it work to bend the return pipe from the power steering a couple of inches and put a new fitting into the hole that is there? I'm thinking a short length of hose with a banjo on one end that would attach to the existing hole. On the other end of the hose would be a female o-ring face seal, which would be held to the banjo on the steering return pipe with a banjo bolt. If I use a double length banjo bolt I could put a second banjo fitting there, on a hose, that would be my return for the remotes.

Is this viable? I'm just guessing that a female ORFS would work. Do they make a hose fitting for a female banjo connection? Any other thoughts?

Thanks.

One thing I'd be worried about is backpressure. Banjo fittings are restrictive already. There is a slight chance that you will have steering issues when you try to dump all the aux flow through the fitting and pressurize the tank side of the PS pump/valve.

Is there a fill cap you could modify to accept a fitting?

The fill cap is under the seat, you have to slide the seat forward to check/add fluid. I don't think there is clearance to do anything.

Anticipating your next question, there is no drain. The power steering return goes into the hole where the parts manual shows the drain plug.

I should have said female O-ring boss instead of face seal. IE, a female straight thread.
