My son tells me he can't get the telescopic stabilizer hooked up right but I am wondering if he may be missing something, like a hole. He indicates there are 2 holes toward the implement side and the lower arms have to be at to narrow of a width when hooked up to my brush cutter so that it doesn't allow the stabilizer to even stabilize as the pins can't be placed in the holes. It is like the stabilizer is just to short. Does anyone know if there are also holes on the stabilizer toward the tractor end? I am thinking he might be missing that if there is. If not, I am going to need a different stabilizer than what I got with the tractor. Thanks for the help.

I'm goin' crossy-eyed trying to figure out what you are describing with the pins in the stabilizers. A picture sure would be helpful. Are your pins on the cutter point outward or inward? If they are inward, I'd reverse them and put them outward. That could give a bit extra width. I have never had a problem finding a hole in my stabilizers to pin them tightly. A picture of mine is attached.

I know that is a very small picture and it isn't exactly what I have, but it is similar.
I found the best diagram I can find at Messnicks site here:
New Holland TT45A 4 CYL TRACTOR
or here:

By the way, I was out at the farm today checking on this problem and it is still a problem. You can't get the pins in the holes. They just won't line up.

From your diagram, I'm posting a suggestion. You can move the mounting point for you stabilizer to one of the more forward holes in the lower lift arm when you use your mower or drill additional holes in your stabilizer bar. Also, you might buy longer hitch pins for your mower so you don't have to put the lift arms all the way in to get a lynch pin into the holes. The pin shown is 6-7/16" long instead of the normal 5-1/2". That might be the easiest way to solve your problem.
