I would like to fit a temp and oil gauge to the 1500 to keep an eye on things but was wondering if i use a mechanical gauge, which has quite a large bulb on the end of it, will this restrict/ upset the Thermosyphon effect if it was fitted in the middle of the top radiator hose? is there a better place to fit it? ideally i would rather an electric one as the sender is much smaller. but i will wait and see what comes up in my travels.

Mine is installed in the hole for the switch for the temperature light. The adapter was easy to find in a local auto parts store.

It is not a good idea to try to use a tee on that hole to enable the use of both the light and the gauge. That moves the sensors out of the flow, resulting in inaccurate readings.

Dash mounting for gauges.

Turnerbend, nice job. Where did you get those guages? and can you snap a few pics of how you installed them?
