temperature sending unit

Howdy folks--anybody know of a temperature sending unit that will fit a Branson 2810? Yes, I already know I can order one from Branson for a small fortune, but if another more "available" unit will fit, I'd like to give that a try. :thumbsup:

Here is the part # HH12190000A3 They are just over $20 through branson. If you take that number into an auto parts store they might be able to cross it to something.

I have a Century 2535 like the Branson 3510-1. I just ordered one of these parts from ZUMTREND. $8 for the part + $25 shipping. Fingers crossed! The specs from my manual say:

118 ohms (+/- 6) at 80 degrees celsius (176 degrees F)
45 ohms (+/- 2.5) at 115 degrees celsius (239 degrees F)

It has a 17mm nut and a single terminal (many automobile temp sensors have 2 contacts, this is just a single, fat pin). Also, it's located on the driver's-right side of the thermostat, presumably with the fan switch opposite it. I drained the coolant before removing it.

Pretty sure ZUMTREND is a scam, so probably lost $35 there. I'll try to dispute it with my card company. I just ordered through my nearest Branson dealer. $24.14 for the part plus $35 shipping. Ouch! I don't know what else to do as my tractor has been sitting useless for a month.

I can confirm that I have a Engine Model: 3T90L-ATC and that the parts catalog for that exact engine has the part number you mentioned: HH12190000A3.
