The JD Drive Green Challenge truck came to Columbus today so I stopped by for a look. The new 1 series are very nice, especially the 1026R. I have a 2210 now and the new 1026R probably addresses every little gripe I've ever had about my 2210. The seat is REAL nice compared to my 2210. I don't think I could purchase a 1 series now but they are definitely nice. I'm holding out for a 2520 now. The drive over deck is very slick... that's one thing i would really love on my 2210.

Take care,

Eric

I'm glad to see that folks are starting to see them around, and even touch them. It is nice too that you got a good impression. Though we are kind of in the sticks around here, I wouldn't be surprised to see them soon near here. Probably about a week after I give up, and buy something else.

I am in the market, but I can wait, and it would take an incentive to get me to buy. With the recent incentives that were on the 2320 and 2520, the 1026R is almost certain to be priced near those levels without incentives. With the late entry to the market, and having missed prime-time spring intro which Deere had originally planned, it seems likely that unless the 1 series sells briskly, it will force some selling programs to be installed this fall and winter unless Deere wants a lot of 2011's on the shelf some spring. Time will tell.

I also have a 2210. Here's my ***** list. No tilt/telescope wheel, lousy seat, no toolbox, horrible lights. Does the 1 series address any of those??

No I didn't. I went online this morning and checked it out. Looks like they covered all of it except telescoping wheel. That's pretty good. Now I just gotta wait for some of you guys to run out and buy one, use it minimally for 3 or 4 years, then trade it so I can buy it for half of new price with a couple hundred hours on it!!!
