From jul 05 to oct 06 I recorded 10.33 inches of rain. 26.5 so far just this year. My pasture is actually starting to get some grass again. Yeehaw!!

I hope it's this good for all ya'll here in TLSS. I feel real bad for you Georgia folks.

Seven days in a row of rain and just over 5 inches with more expected. Some days it's come down like buckets, but other days it's just sprinkled for either an hour, or all day.

We are 6 inches above normal for the year!!!

My garden is lovin' it. I set up a couple tanks to catch runoff from my pumphouse to supplement the garden when it does quit raining, and they are overflowing. Preacher this morning commented "Be careful what you pray for. He went on to say that in the event of rising water in the building, your seatcushions do not function as floatation devices:D "

If I remember right, our annual average rainfall is 33 or 34 inches, and as of today, I think I've gotten about 24.08" so far this year. The lawn is in dire need of mowing, but too many puddles since the ground is finally saturated and it soaks in very slowly, and we still have rain in the forecast every day at least the next 5 days.

My better half and I returned to Arizona last Sunday frome a visit with my parents in San Antonio. It has been quite a few years since we have seen it green all the way from the New Mexico and Texas border all the way to San Antonio. It was nice.

Wow. I'm impressed. I grew up in central Texas & know what it can be like.

24" already? Here, just north of Lake Pontchartrain we average 60" a year. Last year we might have made 45", and a lot of that was towards the end of Dec. So far in 2007 we've had a little under 19 inches. Guess it could be worse, like over in Ga.

I guess I was a little off on our average. I found where NOAA shows a 30 year annual average to be 37.79". But they only show 25.02 for 2006 and only 17.88 for 2005. I knew it had been a 2 year drought, so we're hoping it's over.

My rain gauge has recorded 15.2" for the month of May and we still have three days to go. I have been tracking the rainfall on my farm since 2002. The average for May is 2.17". Kinda' looks like this May will be a little above average?

Lee County is looking good. 4" the last 3 days. Almost everyone has done their first cutting of hay and the second cutting is growing fast in this cow grazing county.

I don't have hay grasses just a ton of wildflowers this year. I actually might get to cut the weeds after the flowers seed and the cows eat the grass down.

Kyle, have you cut your hay?
