Texas State Fair 2017 - tractor deals?

Has anyone seen the tractor deals at the fair this year? Wondering if there are any good package deals. Wife and I have two free tickets but going to the fair stopped being fun about 15 years ago

Last time for me was several years ago. The manufacturer had the display, not the dealer. The tractors with cabs were all locked. You couldn't get a salesperson to talk to you, too busy sitting in the tent talking on the phone. Since they come in from all over to man the booth they know they would not be getting the sale. It was "There is a rack of brochures, call your local dealer".

I had much better luck at the Fort Worth Stock Show getting information and actually sitting in the tractor. There you deal with a local dealer and their salespeople. Much more friendly and willing to show you their product. Even when they found out I was from east Texas they didn't blow me off.

I find in those settings, during the week visit it better. No crowds and the sales guys want to talk to somebody normally. You gotta remember there are 999 tire kickers for every 1 buyer in that setting...

I had a friend tell me last year that the Fort Worth Stock Show was a great place to get tractor deals. The prices he was telling me on Kubotas sure sounded great.

Yes the Fort Worth Stock Show is much better, all around than the State Fair. The San Antonio Rodeo is good too for equipment, trailers and farm implements.
