John Deere/2520
I have a 2520 John Deere. I am not too mechanically inclined but with the help of sites like this, google and youtube I am a skilled mechanic!:cowgirl:

Hi Everyone, GirlTractor here again with a new challenge..

I feel kind of stupid because i think this is a fluid issue...i just don't know which one.

Description of Problem with my John Deere 2520: I'm in the middle of digging a trench with my tractor and all of the sudden it starts driving hard. Have you ever started your vehicle and started driving and it feels like it is straining...and you realize that you have your parking break on?...that is EXACTLY what my tractor felt like all of a sudden in the middle of using it when i pressed on the gas. so i parked it to let it cool down and tried it again a couple hrs later and it is still doing it. I was able to raise my front end loader bucket with no problem

FYI...

-no dash board lights came on indicating a problem, it didn't start smoking or get to hot, or shut down. I did engage the parking brake and unengaged it half a dozen times to see if has a freak thing with the brake

Please advise...thank you!

I don't know your machine but a few quick thoughts ....
1) Did you accidentally knock it into High gear on the HST?
2) Are all your PTO's off (You mentioned digging a trench- backhoe on ?? Thinking a external pump engaged and the extra weight perhaps)
If you place your tractor in neutral will the rear wheels turn? Wondering if the brake is stuck on - the petal would be released but the brakes could still be holding.

Any luck fixing it?
