- Kioti NX5010, Kubota M9000, Kubota ZD331, MF 165, MF 275
Since the start of my research nearly two years ago, I found this site early on. Since the start I have read in earnest all the comments and discussions around each model, each manufacturer. When I began to narrow down the exact tractor that I wanted, each of you contributed to me being the 'educated buyer'.
Although last year I was close to purchasing a DK50SE HST, I decided to wait another year as I was too busy to make best use of my potential investment. When I revisited purchasing a tractor in March of this year, I had learned that Kioti had a new model series - the NX. Not a lot of details were present and I did a lot of tire kicking.
Living adjacent to my parents farm of nearly 300 acres, I was looking for a tractor to replace the smaller and nearly worn-out kubotas as well as the aging Massey Fergusons and the old Case backhoe / FEL. Having an M9000 Kubota with a cab to pull the batwing mower, I was spoiled by the cab. Through thorough analysis along with the awesome comments left by those on this forum, I elected to purchase the NX5010 cab with the FEL and an extra valve set.
I could not be more happy with my purchase. Since May, I have racked up nearly 100 hours on the unit. I pull a 7' Bush Hog Finish mower to mow about 12 acres and the tractor does it with ease. I have used it to square bail, tedder, and rake. I have been using it most recently to move round bales and this tractor handles two bales (one front, one rear) with ease. The hydrostat is fantastic as is the air conditioning. Excellent fuel economy, awesome features, sturdy construction. I have and will continue to recommend the Kioti NX5010 to potential buyers.
Again, thank you - each of you - for your comments, discussions, and observations.
