I have about 200 hours on my BX23...

Yesterday I was clearing an area of accumulated brush and all of a sudden I heard this loud noise from under the tractor... it sounded like a squeal/grinding.

Thankfully, I found it was only the rubber boot on the Hydro Fan Coupler that was dislodge and rubbing on the shaft.

I run the brotek shield because of my brushy terrain.

For once, I got lucky...

On a side note... I also developed a large silver dollar sized bubble on the right front tire sidewall... may have to get fronts foamed to match the rears.

I would avoid foaming the fronts and that will really stress the front axle .

If you have a bubble on the side wall the tire is defective and dangerous.

Bubble developed during use yesterday...

I've read the front's should not be foamed and know others have done it.

My Dealer told me the OEM size front tire for the BX23 is no longer available...

Foaming the rears has been money well spent... no more weekend plans due to a flat rear tire and more stability with the lower center of gravity...

I'm thankful the noise I heard yesterday was not the HST cooling fan which was my first thought.
