Thanks so much for all the input as I wrestled with the choice between the JD 4300 and the Kubota L3010. In the end I went with the Kubota. I liked them equally, but similarly equipped the Deere was $2300 more than the orange thing. I just didn't like it that much more.

Still wearing that Kubota ballcap.

Oh, he'll get lots of free "opinions", Thomas, but I think what you want to know is what "options" he bought./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif Sorry, I just couldn't resist./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Right back at you. Like I said yesterday...I'm for the spelling check. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif Bird ever have one of those days. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif
Snowing heavy here 6" since 2:30pm and the roads are just plain bad.
As I was pulling into my driveway....well the mailbox jump right out in front of me, /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif and the mail went air mail. #@%^&* /w3tcompact/icons/mad.gif

When I thought things couldn't get any worse well they did....forgot to stop at the store for coffee and now I have 1/8 jar left. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

Got a letter from the city asking me to stop feeding the deer, /w3tcompact/icons/mad.gif for some people think its cruel.... those peck#@heads!! /w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif

Maybe I'll just fire up the woodstove and kick back w/ a cold one. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Yep, Thomas, I've had some of those days; too many of them in fact./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif I just posted a message in the Kubota Owning forum about part of mine today. But snow? What's that? Over 60 degrees here today, so while I was in town, I bought an assortment of seed and came home and tilled the garden. Hope to start planting next week./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Thomas, I'm gonna get off topic for minute, but with the storm we're getting ain't much to do tonight but to take off the ol' boots and kick back. I'll second the motion for a frosty cold one in front of the fire. As for the garden all we can do right now is just look thru the seed catalogs. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

They're forcasting up to 16" of snow here before its over. Man, that's higher than my back blade. It's times like this I wish I took my 7 1/2' Curtis snowplow for the Dodge. The deer are gonna be lookin' for you this week for certain.

I'm wondering tonight if Gordon is going to get any of this storm. I know he's been looking foward to some snow work.

Well DFB thanks for thinking of me. The forecast for our area is for a grand total of -----drum roll---- one inch and in the upper 40s tomorrow. I'm like a little kid with a new sled. I'm only lacking one thing --snow--. I was hoping to make a few bucks pushing snow and get a new urthane edge. As the saying goes, hold onto that dream./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

I've made more money pushing dirt this winter than I have pushing snow. Good old Delaware! I even thought about putting the tiller on the back of the tractor to see if we get a blizzard. Snow dance, right about now I'm game for anything.

Almost 10"of snow and still snowing hard plus the wind picking up. /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif
Looks like I'll have to stay home tomorrow from work and push snow most of the day...oh darn. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Indeed a pickup w/plow would be the answer for plowing a storm like this, but the weather station said after the storm passes headed for the high30's to low 40's. /w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif

Hope your JD all diesel up and your clothes are dry,for this storm headed your way.

Gordon,

You've missed it again!/w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif Right about now I sure see you as the lucky one. When I lived down on Cape Cod we never got much snow there either.

Ya, still got a chance. Winter ain't over yet.

Hmmm, Hooking up the tiller might do it. Seems to work with backhoes./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

And Thomas, ain't just headed here. ITS HERE!!! 8"- 9" already.
