Studied a lot of thatchers and most either trailed behind or went on the 3 point but you still had to go back and clean up the thatch.
Guess I am kind of lazy, seemed like to many steps.
Works like a dream.

I like your idea! I don't think you are lazy- its a great time saving device. It looks very well made, I see you had to remove the brush gaurd and I assume you are using your FEL controls ?

I made one very similar to yours about 1 1/2 years ago, it was a winter project. Mine is more manual then yours but I also had to make a hitch for the front of the Honda tractor too so I could use it in the same manner. This design works very good, the ONLY draw back I can see, and I see it on your tractor too is the dust it makes! I tend to scratch my grass at the end of the year a couple times then clean the air cleaner, mower, and then finally change the oil. Dust is a real killer.....

Great minds think alike!

Harley,
We must think along the same lines I checked out your thatcher and see you did the same thing I did with my ag-fab core areator with the exception that I have 2 tractors weights I put on mine for a total if 300 lbs.
Yes I do have a float position on my rear remotes.

Shmudda,
looks great, I'll bet you love getting it all done in one pass.

jmarotz, I want to put side plates on my areator so I can support the axle on the ends. I have some solid and open core cement blocks I use for weight on the areator, it really depends how hard the ground is here for the amount of weight I have to use. Nice work on your builds.
