Here in NW Georgia the hummingbirds typically show up on the first of April.....ON THE DOT.........The hover at the plate glass windows of the front of the A frame portion of the house, say hello, and then head for the feeder. If food isn't out they come back to the windows and let us know......TRULY!!!!!!!!
This year they were late......they showed up on the 4th of April.....Guess they had just as hard of a winter as we have. Usually there are male "scouts" that hang around a few days and then disappear. With the females and cocks showing up perhaps as the scouts are heading out.............
Anyway, glad to see them......Now we start going through the pounds and pounds of sugar to put in probably 5 or 6 feeders spread around the gazebo........lol.....we usually buy 25 or 50 pound sacks at Cosco.........Got your feeders out??????........God bless......Dennis
