I read plenty of posts, and have learned enough to be dangerous. This information has caused me to ask for feedback.
This summer was really hot! Enough to make me want A/C for the tractor, and something to keep me clean. My wife has started to agree since she sees me laundry after a weekend on the tractor. I use my tractor almost every weekend during the summer. A L4330 265 hours with BH-90 and LA-853. No cab!
Here are my issues (My wife has a bigger list of personal issues for me /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif )
My building can't handle a taller tractor.
After-market cab may make tractor taller.
BH-90 and Kubota cab don't work together.
Non related but gets added to my thinking process:
Some people have said that after 300 hours the tractor loses value faster than the first 300.
Another discussion was the L4330 was underpowered. I went from a B2710 to L4330 and there was a big difference for me, but some people think it is not enough for its weight.
My possible options to get A/C Cab:
1. If After-Market doesn't make the tractor taller, and works with BH-90, then decision is made!
2. Sell tractor and get a 5030 with A/C and no BH-90
3. Trade-in tractor and get 5030 with A/C and no BH-90
I searched Ebay and traderonline but couldn't get an idea what the 4330 is worth.
4. Tell my wife nothing will fit in the building and tell her I need a M105x! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Overall, I used the BH-90 for my major projects, but haven't used it much now that those projects are complete. I use my 3pt every weekend now.
Should I wait or is now a good time to make a decision? My biggest problem is what to do since I have no reference points to work from with respect to resale value. I want A/C and don't need the BH-90 anymore. It's great to have, but I would prefer A/C if I had to sacrifice. I could get a woods BH too, but I am trying to offset any out of pocket costs since I am assuming the BH-90 adds +5K to the tractor and A/C runs about 3K.
Has anyone made this kind of decision? Any pitfalls?
Thanks,
Joe
