Goodmorning TBN!!
So, this is my latest video, I just wanted to share it with y'all...
Its about spark testing... When you take a grinder to an unknown piece of metal and just by looking at the sparks it gives off, identify about what it is, that you're working with...
In this video, we cover Mild Steel, Tool Steel, Cast Steel, Malleable Cast, Grey Cast, and White cast irons... I talk a little about each metal, then spark test them and show the volume, color, and "flare" of the sparks they produce...
Its just a basic video I've wanted to make for quite a while... A few months ago I welded up an old Cast Iron vise and that was when I first heard about spark testing, and ever since then it's fasinated me, and I read up on it, and practiced it all I could...
Anyway, just thought I'd share. Hopefully it'll help you identify what you're working with, next time someone brings you a broken piece of whatever. Have an awesome week, everyone
