I found this one friday night. Glenda and me sat there glued to the small picture on the computer for the full hour and sixteen plus minutes.

I agree with Harv- this is real stuff inspirational and very interesting. Don't be turned of by the length. This should be an assignment for a "video" report in the 10th grade.

WOW......

I had a few minutes when I saw this thread. So, I clicked to it. Had I noticed the length, I probably wouldn't have started watching, as I had things that needed doing.

So much for what I needed to do. How could I STOP watching this man speak? It is one incredable piece of work.

Some people never "get it" in life. Randy Pausch not only "gets it", he helped a LOT of people realize what "it" is.

Very good speach,

I sat my g/f, her 2 kids (15 and 17) and my son
down friday nite to watch it. after the first 15 mins,
I gave them the option of leaving if they wanted, and my
son , the 20 yr old that is home from college (unfortunately)
spoke up and said that he had seen quite a few speakers, and
that this guy is really good and it would be worth staying and
watching. it is quite an amazing life he has had.... and
a quite remarkable person.

He has kept his spirits up despite his unfortunate situation. I don't know much about medicine but his particular ailment doesn't seem to be causing the agonizing pain associated with some cancers. Good for him, he had some time to get his affairs in order before his checkout time. Can't ask for much more in life/death. We are all going to end up dead sometime or another, he was lucky enough to be able to cope better than most.
